OGDEN — National tire distributor TireHub recently donated 70 sets of tires to essential workers throughout the nation via a program called Helping Hoops. Each TireHub Logistics Center chose one of their retail customers who then chose an essential worker in their community to surprise with a new set of free tires. Audrey Frasier was the Vancouver-based recipient of a set of Toyo tires at Dick Hannah Honda, 3321 N.E. Auto Mall Drive. According to a news release, Frasier is a nurse who was recently let go due to COVID-19. Her husband, the release said, also lost his job the same day, deterring them from servicing their car. “At TireHub we say that words matter and they do, but so do actions,” TireHub CEO Peter Gibbons said in the release. “We are passionate about giving back and providing a safe driving experience, especially for people traveling to work throughout the COVID-19 crisis.” In addition to the tires donated by TireHub, many dealers also gave customers free oil changes and other auto maintenance and services. TireHub is headquartered in Atlanta.
