Ridgefield school board member resigns

Ridgefield School District board member Scott Gullickson has resigned after 12 years.

The school district has begun a search to replace him, according to a news release.

Gullickson was one of the board’s five directors and represented District 5.

Those who wish to apply for the position can go to the district’s website or the superintendent’s office inside the Ridgefield Administrative and Civic Center, 510 Pioneer St.

Applications are due 4 p.m. July 13.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens and Washington residents.

They must also reside in and be eligible to vote in the district.
