Hummingbirds born in resident’s wind spinner

DULUTH — Ridgefield resident Steven Heer was excited to see that a hummingbird built a nest in the outdoor wind spinner that hangs on his deck. After a few days, there were two eggs in the nest. He watched the eggs hatch on a webcam that he had pointed at the nest and took pictures. “This is a nice distraction from the crazy world we live in right now,” Heer said.
