The Vancouver Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance locating a 35-year-old man with a mental disability who went missing Friday afternoon.
Jorge Hernandez had been with a family member at a job site in the area of Northeast Meadows Drive and north of Northeast 63rd Street in Vancouver at about 1 p.m. when he walked away and did not return, the police department said.
Police said Hernandez has a mental disability disorder, which causes his communication with others to be very limited. He does not speak English but is fluent in Spanish. He is known to walk for long distances during a prior incident with similar circumstances.
Hernandez is not familiar with the Vancouver area, however, and normally lives in Portland, police said.
