For some reason Wednesday was kind of a ho-hum type of day. Lazy getting out of bed waiting for the sun to shine through some clouds. Then after lunch as the air warmed with hazy-lazy sunshine, it felt like a snooze in the hammock.
OK, did I really do this? Nah. Sure had the feelings after all the weather excitement for the past several days. We enjoyed a dry day Wednesday — imagine that if you can. The high as of 5 p.m. was a pleasant 74 degrees and a tad bit on the humid side after the recent deluges.
Today, another keeper with highs around 80 degrees, and nice on Friday with highs creeping into the 80s. No complaints so far? Father’s Day weekend looks mild with highs generally in the 70s, but as I mentioned here Tuesday, there was going to be some moisture just to our north. At that time, I kept the mention of showers out of the discussion.
Looking at forecast models, it appears showers are more likely, but amounts are questionable. An unusual atmospheric river of moisture will be steaming toward Vancouver Island. We will be on the ragged edge Saturday and Sunday. I hate these scenarios. Besides, I’m running out of slug and snail bait.
