Around 40 volunteers, who have been furloughed since March 18 because of the novel coronavirus, came out for a motorcade to honor the staff at PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center on Thursday afternoon.

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, PeaceHealth Southwest relied on a team of nearly 400 volunteers ranging from ages 14 to 93 to keep hospital operations running smoothly. There is no set date for a resumption of the volunteer service.
