We really had some heavy downpours over the weekend and Monday. Did you see how heavy it rained Monday during the noon hour in Vancouver? Wow. Nearly one-half inch of rain in that event. I had other reports around the county of over an inch of rain with those showers.
Today we have another bout of showers of which some could be heavy as well. We even throw in a chance of a thunderstorm here and there. With the heavy showers Monday, Vancouver was approaching nearly 3 inches of rain for the month. Today’s showers will likely push us over 3 inches. This could be one of the top 10 wettest Junes ever so stay tuned.
The good news is that Wednesday an extended period of dry weather will begin and last clear through the weekend. Some forecast models bring showers close to us over the weekend but I’m going to ignore it at this point.
So how warm will it get with those sunny skies on the horizon? Right now, we slowly creep up to the 80-degree mark Wednesday and Thursday and then mid-80s for several days. That, of course, depends if we get any cloudiness over the weekend. Right now, looking at current data Monday afternoon, I foresee no 90-degree plus high temperatures. Watch the daily updates as that of course seems to change daily on the extended weather forecasts.
