The Washougal Police Department says it’s investigating the death of a 71-year-old woman as suspicious.

Washougal police officers were dispatched around 4:30 p.m. Sunday to the 1900 block of 41st Street for a report about the dead woman.

The police department did not identify the woman or give specifics about her death. However, it said in a news release that the death is “currently being investigated as suspicious.”

Camas police and the Clark County Major Crimes Team are helping with the investigation. Anyone with information should contact a detective assigned to the case at 360-835-8701.
