Woodland Public Schools says goodbye to retired staff

WOODLAND — As it nears the end of its 2019-2020 school year, Woodland Public Schools is recognizing several of its employees who are retiring after decades of service. Sandra Austin, of North Fork Elementary School, worked as a second-grade teacher from October 1983 until she retires on Aug. 31. Rosemary Forsberg worked in the office of KWRL Transportation Cooperative from October 1994 until retiring on Dec. 31. Sandra “Sandi” George has worked as a teacher at Columbia Elementary School since September 1983 and will retire on Aug. 31. Annette Kirby will retire on Aug. 31 from her job as a cook at North Fork Elementary School, where she started in February 1999. Patricia Nickols, a paraeducator at Columbia Elementary School since Nov. 1, 1995, retired on Jan. 1. Pam Schneider was a school bus driver at KWRL from February 1993 until September. Lastly, Karen Ward, a paraeducator at Woodland High School since Aug. 29, 2001, retired on Friday.
