Tennis players across Clark County can look forward to some courts opening soon.

Evergreen Tennis in Camas will open its four indoor courts at 8 a.m. Monday.

“We are small and adaptable and we are proud to do things first in our tennis community,” said Evergreen Tennis owner and general manager Caryn Vitek. “Reopening will focus on re-engaging with our players, earning their trust, providing great service, and keeping them with us through the continuing uncertainty and economic challenges.”

Club Green Meadows will reopen its seven indoor courts and one outdoor court to its members at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday. Guidelines to the reopening are posted at www.clubgreenmeadows.com.

Evergreen Tennis, located at 5225 N.W. 38th Ave., in Camas, is open to the public with membership options available. First-time visitors can try out the facility for free.

“Young athletes can succeed at any sport, and we encourage them to try tennis if their favorite sport is on hold,” Vitek said, noting how tennis is a sport that allows for ample social distancing. “The club is offering summer camps with small groups up to five players per pro. We also offer in-house leagues and making matches between players.”

A list of opening guidelines, as well as all the club’s offerings can be found on the Evergreen Tennis website evergreentennis.net.

Vancouver Tennis Center’s nine indoor and four outdoor courts remain closed with a target of an early July reopening, according to its website. Updates can be found online at pnwtenniscenters.com/vancouver-coronavirus-notice/
