Clark County dips to two new COVID-19 cases, a day after spikeFree

Clark County Public Health confirmed two new coronavirus cases Tuesday afternoon, one day after the county saw a 32-case spike, the second-largest daily increase in cases since the pandemic began.

There were no new Clark County cases connected to the outbreak at Pacific Crest Building Supply in Ridgefield, although one new case from outside Clark County was connected the facility’s outbreak. There are 44 employees at the cabinet manufacturer who have tested negative for coronavirus. Another 91 employees are awaiting testing or test results.

So far, 13 of Clark County’s cases have been connected to the Pacific Crest outbreak, with 19 total employees testing positive for COVID-19.

The county has 605 confirmed cases, 28 deaths and two people currently hospitalized. Close to 60 percent of the county’s licensed hospital beds are occupied, with 1.5 percent of beds occupied by COVID-19 patients, according to Public Health.

One new case has been linked to a longterm care facility in the county. There are 74 total cases linked to longterm care facilities.

Firestone Pacific Foods in Vancouver has 132 confirmed cases linked to its outbreak.

At least 12,577 people from Clark County have been tested for COVID-19.

According to state Department of Health data, 24,041 cases have been confirmed in Washington. There have been 1,161 deaths, and 3,699 hospitalizations. More than 410,290 people have been tested statewide, with 5.9 percent of tests returning positive.
