Clark County Public Health reported two new cases of novel coronavirus on Tuesday, bringing the county’s total to 560 since the first case was confirmed March 7.
No new deaths have been reported since May 15; the total remains at 25. More than 10,000 people have been tested for COVID-19 in the county though that total doesn’t include all rapid testing and point-of-care testing, according to Public Health.
Clark County saw an uptick in cases last week as an outbreak at Firestone Pacific Foods in Fruit Valley pushed the county’s total over 500 cases. Public Health has reported a total of 130 cases connected to the company, among workers and their close contacts.
The outbreak forced the state to put Clark County’s application to enter Phase 2 of Gov. Jay Inslee’s reopening plan on pause. Earlier today the state asked the county to reapply.
