Police have arrested a man suspected of firing multiple rounds at a vehicle occupied by four people early Saturday morning in central Vancouver. No one was injured by the gunfire.

Vancouver police had responded about 3:30 a.m. for an assault involving a weapon in the 4900 block of East 18th Street. One of the victims was physically assaulted by the suspect before the shooting, according to a police department news release.

The suspect was identified as Keith Williams, 29, of Vancouver, police said, and he was located Wednesday in the 11700 block of Southeast Mill Plain Boulevard.

Williams was booked into the Clark County Jail on suspicion of four counts of first-degree assault, one count of first-degree unlawful possession of a firearm, one count of second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm and a felony warrant for escaping community custody issued by the Washington State Department of Corrections.

Police are seeking additional witnesses or leads in the case. Anyone with information on the incident should contact the Vancouver Police Department Tip Line at 360-487-7399.
