Battle Ground residents have an opportunity to say what the city’s land use and transportation plans should look like for several decades.

The city is hosting a virtual meeting at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 10 to allow residents a chance to discuss the Mapping Our Future Project. Residents can choose from and give feedback about three Land Use Master Plans through an online Storymap Open House.

An updated master plan will identify areas of growth, preservation and economic development and be added to the city’s 20-year Comprehensive Plan, according to a city news release.

The project is the second phase of the city’s long-range planning process. In 2018, more than 2,000 people contributed to a Community Vision and Strategic Action Plan.

The open house and comment period is open through Aug. 17. For submissions in hard-copy formats, dial 360-342-5047 or email at MapOurFuture@cityofbg.org.
