CENTRAL VANCOUVER — The Clark College Foundation, the self-governed nonprofit organization that assists the college through philanthropy, was recently recognized with two awards for its fundraising accomplishments during 2019. The foundation received Overall Performance and Overall Improvement awards from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education, better known as CASE. “I continue to be humbled by the generous support the community provides Clark College via Clark College Foundation. The college ensures an educated workforce that helps make our community vibrant and prosperous,” Lisa Gibert, CEO of the foundation, said in a news release. “In turn, individuals and entities give back to Clark regularly. The college simply could not be as successful as it is without philanthropic support.” Two CASE committees, with members experienced in fundraising, review various factors to select the winners, including patterns of growth in total support and breadth of fundraising. “This inspiring philanthropic engagement is guided by dedicated and professional development staff, and supported by generous volunteers. Collectively, we are advancing education — the key to addressing the many serious challenges our world faces today,” Sue Cunningham, CASE president and CEO, said in the release.
