Those morning clouds persisted past the noon hour Monday in most parts of the county. By now you should be getting used to this pattern of morning clouds and partly to mostly sunny afternoons and evenings. For fun we’ll keep that pattern going this week and add a slight distraction for today. Perhaps some drizzle or light showers, how about that?
Wednesday through Friday we will enjoy highs near normal and varying amounts of low clouds. So, I will say partly sunny, mostly sunny, partly cloudy, well you get the picture. No hot weather on the horizon and no soaking rains either. There is a possibility of some moderate rain next week but that is a way out so we’ll wait and see on that opportunity.
I hope everyone survived the Fourth in good fashion. The weather was quite pleasant and with clear skies in the afternoon and evening. The moonrise was awesome just about the time fireworks were going off. Did you watch the lunar eclipse?
Expect a good marine influence to continue to hold and as longer-range models say for another 10 days or more. The reason all the clouds and a continuing chance of drizzle or showers is the northern jet stream is undercutting a strong ridge of high pressure over Alaska. On the Fourth of July, Vancouver reached 75 degrees, much like Fairbanks.
