Boys basketball: La Center 69, White Salmon 26

LA CENTER 69, WHITE SALMON 26 — Hunter Ecklund scored 28 points and the Wildcats locked down on defense to run away with the 1A Trico League victory.

Ecklund also added five assists. Hunter Ball had nine points and five rebounds. La Center (13-5, 7-1) led 37-7 at halftime.

“Our defense did very well tonight,” coach Jeremy Ecklund said.

Standout La Center forward Evan Norris missed his second game with a fractured bone in his foot and was ruled out for the rest of the season.

Chase Colloton led Columbia-White Salmon (2-15, 0-7) with eight points.
