Clark women beat Portland 71-43

Jodi Thomasian scored 18 points and Turner Joy had 15 rebounds as the Clark College women’s basketball team beat Portland 71-43 on Wednesday night at Portland.

The Penguins (5-13, 1-7 NWAC South) ended a nine-game losing streak with their highest offensive output since their last victory — a 73-50 win over Green River on Dec. 14.

Chyna Finley had 16 points, and Alexus Hunter added 15 for the Penguins.

The victory concludes the first half of the conference season.

MEN: AT PORTLAND 71, CLARK 62 — Dylan Hushaw scored 14 points and Union High grad Ethan Smith came off the bench to score 13, but the Penguins (8-12, 1-7) dropped their sixth straight game.
