La Center now has won seven in a row since its last defeat Dec. 28 against R.A. Long. It was part of a tough nonleague slate that included 3A and 2A foes, in addition 1A power King’s.
“That nonleague schedule helped us get ready for these games,” coach Herm VanWeerdhuizen said.
Gianna D’Emilio “played her heart out,” the coach said with eight points and 12 rebounds.
Alyse Webberley had 13 points and five rebounds, and Kylee Stephens had 12 points, six steals, five rebounds and five assists. Mia Edwards added six rebounds with her four points.
