The Chieftains began the second half on a 12-0 run in the third quarter on their way to outscoring the Monarchs 23-5 that third quarter.

Dejah Wilson led River with 11 points, Ellie Christian added nine and Sydney Flores-Tucker had eight to keep the Chieftains in second place in the 2A GSHL.
