Claire Heitschmidt scored 25 points, but the Falcons couldn’t overcome 24 turnovers in falling to the visitors from Orinda, Calif., who have a national ranking of 83.
“Every year we try to play a really, really good team,” Prairie coach Hala Corral said. “We found our we’re OK. We can play with the good teams.”
Corral pointed out the Falcons had just eight turnovers in the second half to recover from 30-15 halftime deficit.
“We just relaxed and played our game in the second half,” Corral said.
