Boys basketball: Hockinson 65, Mark Morris 54

Micah Paulsen scored 13 of his game-high 24 points in the second quarter as the visiting Hawks won the 2A Greater St. Helens League game in Longview.

The victory moved Hockinson (6-8, 3-3) into third place in league, while Mark Morris (6-8, 2-4) slips into a four-way tie for fourth.

Dakota Souders scored 16 points including knocking down 5 of 5 free throws in the fourth quarter to help ice the win for the Hawks. Ki Haden added 10 points.

Deacon Dietz led Mark Morris in scoring with 14 points, Ashton Harvey had 13 and Jack Shipley had 10.
