An 8-0 run to close out the first half and 22 points from Mario Herring helped the Plainsmen stay undefeated in the 3A Greater St. Helens League with the win over visiting Kelso.
Henry scored 16 of his 22 points in the second and third quarters and had 13 rebounds, three blocked shots and three steals.
“Mario was really special tonight,” Evergreen coach Brett Henry said. “He was a big catalyst for us.”
Henry said it was also Evergreen’s defensive intensity in the second half that maintained the Plainsmen’s advantage.
Jaden Stanley added 12 points and Izaac Romero had 11 for Evergreen.
Kelso was led in points by Josh Webb’s 12 and Gage Tippery’s 10.
