Boys basketball: Woodland 54, Mark Morris 45

WOODLAND 54, MARK MORRIS 45 — Trey Hanson and Isaiah Flanagan combined for 35 points and 16 rebounds as the Beavers pulled off the surprise win in 2A Greater St. Helens League play.

Flanagan finished with 17 points and nine rebounds and Hanson had 18 points and seven rebounds. Isaac Hall chipped in nine points and six rebounds for Woodland (7-4, 2-1).

“It started with defense,” Woodland coach Jesse Buck said. “The kids were ready from the tip. They were confident, loose and they had some fun.”

Deacon Dietz led Mark Morris (4-6, 0-3) with 10 points.
