LA CENTER 73, SETON CATHOLIC 66 — The Wildcats rallied from an 11-point third-quarter deficit to earn a big 1A Trico League home victory. La Center (7-3, 1-0) out-scored the Cougars 30-15 in the final frame.
“All of a sudden, they started playing with more confidence,” La Center coach Jeremy Ecklund said. “It as like they flipped a switch.”
Evan Norris scored a career-high 35 points in the victory, including all 13 of La Center’s first-quarter points. He also added five rebounds and four steals. Norris had four 3-pointers in the first half.
Parker Ball added 14 points and Hunter Ecklund had 13 points and five assists.
Kellen Ball paced Seton Catholic (5-6, 0-1) with 18 points. Xavian Rushing (15), Luke Pitzer (13) and Gabe Anderson (10) also finished in double figures.
