After playing three games in three days in Idaho, a trip to Longview for 2A Greater St. Helens League play wasn’t exactly an easy road trip for the Columbia River boys basketball team.
Nate Snook scored a game-high 25 points as the Chieftains moved to 2-0 in league play with the 50-40 win at Mark Morris on Monday.
“It’s always tough to win at Mark Morris, so you have to feel good with this result,” River coach David Long said. “They always play well at home, so I’m proud of our guys.”
Columbia River used just six players and just gradually pulled away for the win.
“Snook played a really good game,” Long said. “He scored from behind the arc, the paint and got to the (free-throw) line. A good all-around game.”
