Boys basketball: Cashmere 56, King’s Way Christian 50

Despite 27 points from Bryson Metz, the Knights couldn’t get past No. 2 seed Cashmere in the 1A state regional game at Wenatchee High School.

King’s Way Christian (19-6) will open the 1A state tournament at Yakima at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday with a loser-out game.

The Knights shot 39 percent from the field but just 4 of 21 from behind the 3-point arc.
