The Banfield Foundation, a 4-year-old nonprofit arm of Vancouver-based Banfield Pet Hospital, awarded $2,436,909 through grants in 2019.
The grants impacted 2,536,807 pets in all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico, according to a Thursday news release from the foundation. The company also delivered free preventive care to vulnerable pets, allowed associates to volunteer on company time and educated youth about future veterinary careers, according to the news release.
Banfield Pet Hospital was founded in 1995 in Portland and moved its corporate headquarters to Vancouver in 2015. With more than 1,000 hospitals, it’s the largest general veterinary practice in the country.
