Homeless community members can bring their pets to a free veterinary clinic Thursday at Open House Ministries. Appointments at the event, which runs 2 to 6 p.m. at 900 W. 12th St. in Vancouver, are on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Humane Society for Southwest Washington partnered with WellHaven Pet Health and Open House Ministries, a faith-based family shelter, to provide this service for animals and their unhoused owners. It takes place in the Tod and Maxine McClaskey Family Resource Center on the shelter campus.
