The Panthers took control with a 19-0 run in the second and advanced to the third-place game in the 2A district tournament at Woodland.
Washougal will play Tumwater on Saturday at Woodland for a berth to the regional round of state.
After leading 12-8 after one quarter, Washougal surged to a 33-10 halftime lead.
“We missed some shots in the first quarter, but we were hanging with them,” R.A. Long coach Jan Karnoski said. “But in the second quarter, all of sudden it was bam, bam, they hit some shots, started fast breaking before we even knew what was happening.”
McKenna Jackson led Washougal with 10 points and seven rebounds, and McKinley Stotts had 10 points and five rebounds as the Panthers spead the scoring load around.
