Girls basketball: Washougal 56, Hockinson 42

Jaiden Bea, Savea Mansfield and Skylar Bea combined for 47 of Washougal’s 56 points as the Panthers pulled away late for a 2A district win.

The Panthers got off to a slow start, trailing 7-4 after one quarter. Hockinson kept it close, trailing 37-33 after three quarter before the Panthers pulled away late.

Jaiden Bea had 16 points and 12 rebounds. Savea Mansfield added 16 points and Skylar Bea had 15.

McKinley Stotts had nine points, five assists, four rebounds and five steals.

Washougal will play W.F. West at 6 p.m. Monday in the district semifinals. Hockinson plays Woodland at 6 p.m. Monday in a loser-out game at Ridgefield.
