One person was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries following a Wednesday morning stabbing northeast of Camas.

Clark County Sheriff’s Office arrested 44-year-old Rima L. McQuestion on suspicion of first-degree assault in connection with the stabbing.

Deputies responded to a report of a disturbance with a weapon at about 8 a.m. Wednesday in the 27000 block of Northwest 36th Street, north of Fern Prairie, according to emergency dispatch records. They found the victim with neck and extremity lacerations. The victim, who was not named, was treated and sent to the hospital.

An investigation found that the stabbing stemmed from an escalating argument, according to a news release.

Deputies took McQuestion into custody and booked her into the Clark County Jail.
