HUDSON’S BAY 50, WILSON 45 — The Eagles mounted a fourth-quarter comeback to earn the 3A West Central/Southwest Bi-District Tournament road victory. Jaydia Martin scored 19 points and Kamelai Powell added 14 for the Eagles, who travel to play Capital at 7 p.m. Friday in a winner-to-regionals game.

The Eagles took a 20-11 lead into halftime Wednesday, as they surprised the Cougars with a zone defense. Capital responded by hitting its 3-pointers in the third quarter.

Martin, Powell and Paytin Ballard (nine points) countered with some key plays in the fourth quarter to escape with the win.

“It was very competitive the whole way,” Bay coach Michael Rainville said. “But we came back and gutted it out.”
