A house fire Tuesday morning on the east boundary of Vancouver’s Rose Village neighborhood displaced five people and two dogs.
Vancouver firefighters responded at 10:49 a.m. in the 2700 block of East 33rd Street for a reported residential structure fire. Upon arrival, fire crews learned the actual address was in the 3200 block of Grand Boulevard, firefighter Eva Scherer said.
Smoke was seen coming from the east side of the residence. All of the occupants had evacuated, she said.
Firefighters entered the residence to extinguish a fire in a bedroom, Scherer said. A dog was initially thought to be missing but was later located. Scherer did not know the animal’s condition.
