American Cancer Society urgently needs drivers to transport cancer patients to and from treatment, or to help coordinate transportation for cancer patients. Volunteers use their own vehicles and will also need to have a good driving record, a valid driver’s license, proof of adequate auto insurance, completion of their training course and spare time.
Clark Neighbors Food Project is looking for neighborhood coordinators and general volunteers to help sign up food donors and deliver reusable green bags. Coordinators talk to their neighbors, hand out bags and pick up the filled bags every two months to take to a central location for distribution to local food banks. Some limited data entry and ability to send out email reminders about collection times is required, and the ability to lift/carry up to 25 pounds is helpful.
Columbia Springs seeks event management volunteers (host, snack steward, runner, social media, etc.), interpreters (especially for Spanish and Russian speakers), and fixers who enjoy tinkering with and repairing a variety of items for their Repair Clark County program. These events would not be possible without the help of skilled volunteers. All volunteers are required to attend a volunteer orientation to ensure a safe and enjoyable event.
