The Columbia River Economic Development Council announced its 2020 officers and board of directors, as well as the appointment of Larry Holt as the organization’s first chief operating officer.
The newly created role replaces and expands on the position of vice president of strategy, according to communications director Monica Santos-Pinacho. Holt, who previously served as the vice president of business development at Greater Portland Inc., will oversee the CREDC’s business development team and work to bolster investor relations. He will also assist president Jennifer Baker with strategic direction efforts, according to a press release from the council.
The member and officer elections were held at the council’s annual investor meeting on Tuesday at the Black Pearl event venue in Washougal. Lisa Lowe will serve as chair, Mei Wu as vice chair, Casey Wyckoff as immediate past chair, Alan Garcia as secretary and Lisa Dow as treasurer. The chair, vice chair and immediate past chair positions are for 2020 through 2022, while the secretary and treasurer positions are only for 2020.
Bryan Dent, Jon Hersen, Steve Horenstein, Todd Johnson and Lisa Keohokalole Schauer were all elected to three-year terms on the board. Eric Fuller and Tim Schauer were both elected to one-year terms as directors emeritus. Horenstein and Tim Schauer were also elected to serve on the 2020 executive committee, along with Ben Bagherpour, Helen Devery and Bill Dudley.
