Mario Herring logged his first career triple-double with a game-high 30 points to go with 12 rebounds and 10 blocked shots as the Plainsmen cut down the nets after completing a 10-0 3A Greater St. Helens League season.
Herring also had five assists and got his 30 points without making a 3 pointer.
Evergreen pulled away in the second half after being tied at halftime 43-43.
“It was really exciting,” Evergreen coach Brett Henry said. “Fort played very, very hard. I’m just thankful we had a game like this as we move forward.”
Izaac Romero scored 25 points in a starting role on senior night for Evergreen. Jayden Stanley had 13 points.
The Trapper were led by Kahlil Singleton’s 25 points, and Tre Cannon added 11.
