Two passengers died in a Sunday morning, one-vehicle rollover crash on Interstate 5 in Ridgefield. The driver is facing vehicular homicide and felony hit-and-run charges.
Alcohol or drugs were a factor in the crash, according to a news release from the Washington State Patrol.
At about 2:20 a.m., Luis A. Perezsalinas, 25, was driving a 2011 Ford Fusion eastbound on South 11th Street in Ridgefield with three passengers, Aristeo Alejopable, 31, Margarito Alejopable, 43, and Josue B. Gonzalez, 23.
As the car approached the intersection of South Timm Road, Perezsalinas failed to stop at a stop sign and drove the car off an embankment, according to the news release. The car flipped and came to rest on its top on Interstate 5 southbound.
