GREEN MEADOWS — Clark County Republican Women presented a $1,618 check and award to North County Community Food Bank at its Jan. 16 meeting at Club Green Meadows. The CCRW Impact Award is part of an annual commitment by the club to give back to the community through charitable fundraising. Each year the group designates a local nonprofit that has had a “profound impact on women in our community,” according to a news release. Contributions are raised by members with a matching donation from the club’s funds. “CCRW membership is honored to present this monetary contribution to the North County Community Food Bank,” Liz Pike, the club’s president, said in a news release. “I’m proud of our membership for selecting such a deserving organization as the recipient of our CCRW Impact Award. Funds will help those most vulnerable in our north county area.”
