Police investigate robbery at northeast Vancouver iQ Credit Union

Police are investigating a bank robbery in northeast Vancouver on Tuesday.

Officers were dispatched at 3:55 p.m. to the iQ Credit Union at 15705 N.E. Fourth Plain Blvd. for the report of a robbery.

A man entered the credit union and presented a note. He was given an undisclosed amount of cash before fleeing on foot, according to a Vancouver Police Department news release.

Police describe the suspect as a white man in his 40s who is about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs around 175 pounds.

Officers canvassed the area with the help of a canine but were unsuccessful in locating the man, according to the release.

Major Crimes Unit detectives are continuing to investigate.
