BRUSH PRAIRIE — Rocksolid Community Teen Center was awarded grants from the Clark County Realtors Association and the Washington State Youth Development Relief Grant. The $1,500 grant from Clark County Realtors Association will help the organization continue its Life Skills Program, which teaches youth skills such as cooking, banking, coping and financial planning. The grant will enable the center to teach the program virtually during the pandemic and eventually in person. The center received $19,000 from the Washington Youth Development Nonprofit Relief Fund, which will fill fundraising gaps to ensure the program can continue. Rocksolid Community Teen Center gives a space for students in fifth through 12th grade in the Battle Ground and Hockinson school districts. “We are extremely grateful for these funds, especially during the COVID-19 crisis while fundraising efforts are more challenging. These funds will enable us to serve youth in new and innovative ways.” Executive Director Marcy Sprecher said in a news release.
