RIDGEFIELD — View Ridge Middle School seventh-grader Amelia Natterstad was the first-place winner in the Superintendent’s Holiday Greeting Card Art Contest. Her card was selected by judges as the one that best exemplified “Healthy Happy Holidays,” the contest’s theme. Natterstad’s design will be featured on the cover of the district’s holiday greeting card and she received a $50 cash award. Three semi-finalists received $25: Jael Benedick, a sixth-grader from Sunset Ridge Intermediate School; Lilly Adams, a seventh-grader from View Ridge Middle School; and LilyAnna Babien, a freshman at Ridgefield High School. Honorable Mentions were awarded to Anna Benedick, a fourth-grader at Union Ridge Elementary School; Beverley Flynn, a fifth-grader at Sunset Ridge Intermediate School; and Patricia Catacutan, a junior at Ridgefield High School. All winners will receive a set of greeting cards imprinted with their artwork. The contest was launched in 2014 in partnership with the Ridgefield Art Association to promote student creativity.
