Mountain View grad Langsdorf has contract picked up by Minnesota United

Mountain View High grad and former Stanford soccer standout Foster Langsdorf was one of seven players to have their contract options picked up by Minnesota United, the team announced Friday.

Langsdorf is the only forward among 18 rostered players on the Major League Soccer club.

Langsdorf joined the Loons after one with season with Reno where he played 18 games and scored 11 goals during the 2020 season. He is a product of the Portland Timbers Academy and signed a homegrown contract with the Timbers in January 2018. The majority of his professional career was with Portland Timbers 2.

Langsdorf got into one game for the Loons, playing 10 minutes as a substitute in a 3-0 win against FC Dallas on Nov. 8.
