Lions members beautify resident’s yard

ORCHARDS — Members of the Fort Vancouver Lions Club spent many hours restoring a local woman’s yard. A longtime Vancouver resident, the woman’s husband died about five years ago. Though the yard is mowed, flower beds were neglected while invasive species of plants grew in from a neighboring property. Club volunteers worked to remove them. “The Fort Vancouver Lions Club has been in existence for over 65 years and prides itself in helping those less fortunate than ourselves,” a news release said.
