Vancouver police are asking for the public’s help in locating a shooting and robbery suspect.

Police department spokeswoman Kim Kapp said in an email that an unidentified man shot and robbed the victim, who is homeless, around 10:20 p.m. Saturday in the area of a Chevron gas station at 210 E. Mill Plain Blvd.

The victim, who was not identified, was hospitalized and is in stable condition, Kapp said.

Police described the suspect as a skinny white man about 20 to 30 years old. He is about 6 feet tall and has blond hair. At the time of the shooting, he was wearing a small black mask, a dark-colored beanie, synthetic jogging pants and sweatshirt, and dark gloves.

Anyone with information should call the police department’s tip line or Detective Neil Martin at 360-487-7423.
