Clark County Public Health reported 32 new cases of COVID-19 and no new deaths Friday.
The new cases brings the county’s total number of positive cases to 2,534 since early March. To date, 49 people have died from COVID-19, according to Public Health data.
There are 20 people hospitalized in Clark County with COVID-19 and six hospitalized awaiting test results.
The total number of new cases reported has been dropping over the past several weeks, according to Public Health data. There were 149 new cases reported this week, 166 cases reported the week before, 201 cases the week of Aug. 10, and 252 during the week starting Aug. 3.
The reduction in cases follows a surge in new cases starting in late June and into July as restrictions were lifted on activities, as seen in a Public Health chart tracking both total cases and daily verified cases.
