The Battle Ground Public Schools Board of Directors will meet at 4:30 p.m. today to discuss staff reduction among classified employees in light of a remote start to the school year.

No details on the number of staff were shared on the district website Thursday, but a meeting agenda says the reductions will include crossing guards, some special education assistants, preschool staff and community education employees.

Staff may be called back as the district begins to reopen buildings.

The board will meet remotely. Visit http://battlegroundps.org for details on calling in.
