Clark County’s COVID-19 case count surpassed 2,500 cases Thursday as health officials reported 24 new cases and the fourth death this week.
The new cases bring the county’s total to 2,502 since the first case was reported March 7. The death, a man age 80 or older, brings the county’s total to 49, according to Clark County Public Health. No information was available on whether the man had any underlying health conditions.
In addition to the death reported Thursday, two deaths were reported Monday and one Tuesday.
There were 17 people hospitalized with COVID-19 as of Thursday, with 10 people hospitalized awaiting test results, according to Public Health.
