A 19-year-old man was arrested Wednesday afternoon in Vancouver in connection with an attempted murder case in Hillsboro, Ore.
The Hillsboro Police Department reported that Julian Gallardo was taken into custody by members of the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force after his indictment by a Washington County, Ore., grand jury on two counts of attempted first-degree murder with a firearm, two counts of unlawful use of weapon with a firearm, and one count each of first-degree assault with a firearm, second-degree assault with a firearm and first-degree criminal mischief.
The charges stem from a June 30, 2019, shooting in Hillsboro that left one man wounded, according to the police department. No further details were released about the investigation.
Gallardo will be lodged in jail in Washington pending extradition to Oregon.
