ORCHARDS — Vitamin company Mybite through the KMR Group Foundation awards graduating seniors in the Clark County area scholarships to WSU Vancouver and Clark College each year. Students this year lost out on their senior trips, prom and other parties as they had to quarantine and go online for school. To give them a moment to celebrate, Mybite surprised winners with a car parade and baskets with gifts at their homes. “We are so proud of our scholarship recipients and wanted to do something special for them,” said Kate Jones, president of Mybite and executive director of KMR Group Foundation. Winners included Garrett Romo, Prairie High School; Tiana Chan, Union High School; both attending WSU Vancouver; and Aspen Smith, Kalama High School; Jessica Wilson; Amy Chan, Union High School; Isabelle Fink, Columbia River High School; Zach Connolly, Union High School; Cecileu Elliott, Camas High School; Sofia Witzel, Battle Ground High School; and Cameron Wallace, Academy Northwest High School, all attending Clark College. “The Mybite team really came together to make this happen and created a long-lasting memory to the recipients and their families.” Check out the local scholarship recipients’ reactions on YouTube: youtube.com/watch?v=aqyBjGuiBT0.
